Stewkley Stone was contracted to carry out the fabrication and installation of Caesarstone work surfaces for a fine dining restaurant in Islington, London.
The food is prepped in the basement, brought up to the central kitchen prior to service and cooked on a state of the art Bonnet induction stove. The seating arrangement surrounding the kitchen enables you to chat with the chefs as you watch your meal being prepared.
Head Chef, and owner, Bjorn Van Der Horst, commented: “My kitchen will be used heavily, so Caesarstone was the natural choice for my work surfaces because it is so strong, scratch and stain resistant.
One of the major factors for me is that it’s non-porous – this is very important, as the surface will get such heavy use.
When serving the public on a daily basis hygiene is always one of the main priorities to be taken into account, and I know this element is covered with Caesarstone.
One of the major factors for me is that it’s non-porous – this is very important, as the surface will get such heavy use.”
